Many of us no longer have a permanent or full-time domestic worker or helper in our homes. Most domestic workers are now on leave for their own needs. This time becomes quite difficult for those who are used to doing daily household chores with the help of someone or the other.
Even those who don’t already have a helper at home sometimes become extremely bored and tired of having to handle everything from morning to night on their own every day.
When we think of the fatigue and endless toil of life, the thought of Hazrat Fatima, the daughter of the Prophet, comes to mind. She was the beloved daughter of the Prophet. Yet her earthly life was very simple and ordinary.
After marriage, the husband and wife made a mutual agreement as they embarked on a new path. Ali (RA) would do the outside work, while Fatima (RA) would look after everything inside the house. So she did all the household chores alone and with great enthusiasm.
However, since the work was manual labor, it was very difficult for him. In that era, there was no such abundance, modern technology, and civic amenities as in this era. He used to fetch water from a distant well in a leather bag (musk) to meet the needs of the house.
