Minister Dulu Calls for Drug- and Casino-Free Society in Bangladesh

Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu has called for collective efforts to build a drug-free, casino-free, and socially responsible society in Bangladesh.

He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the 30th anniversary celebration of Begum Kamrunnessa Degree College in Lalmonirhat on Wednesday afternoon.

The minister emphasized the need to prevent social problems such as drug abuse, child marriage, and illegal casino activities. He urged students, youth, parents, and teachers to play an active role in raising awareness and guiding the younger generation.

He said education should be strengthened alongside moral values, encouraging students to focus on studies and avoid destructive habits. According to him, only a disciplined and educated youth population can lead the country toward progress.

The day-long event included a flag hoisting ceremony, tree plantation, procession, discussions, cultural programs, and alumni gatherings. A new committee of the college alumni association was also announced during the event.
