A festive atmosphere has been created in Kalkini Upazila of Madaripur in view of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s visit to Barisal. Welcoming the Prime Minister’s arrival, a huge greeting and congratulatory program was organized by the general public in the Bhurghata area of ​​the Dhaka-Barisal highway, despite the drizzle.
This joyful and grand greeting was displayed under the joint leadership of Kalkini Upazila Jubo Dal leaders Sikder Md. Mamun and Shamim Mollah.
The festive atmosphere on the highway has been decorated with arches, banners, festoons and placards at the entrance of Kalkini, Bhurghata area, in anticipation of the Prime Minister’s arrival. A large number of leaders and activists and ordinary people from all walks of life have been gathering along the highway since morning.
​Leaders’ Statements ​After exchanging greetings, the Jubo Dal leaders said, ‘An unprecedented awakening has been created in the entire southern region surrounding Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s visit to Barisal. People from all walks of life in Kalkini are eagerly waiting to greet their beloved leader. We believe that a new horizon of development and prosperity of this region will be opened through this visit of the Prime Minister.’
​While going to Barisal, a large number of leaders and activists of the local Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal and allied organizations, along with prominent figures of the area, were present at Bhurghata on the highway. The entire Bhurghata area was filled with spontaneous slogans from the leaders and activists.
