US to declare ‘final victory’ against Iran within two weeks: Trump
President Donald Trump has hinted that the United States will declare “final victory” against Iran within the next two weeks, appearing virtually at a rally for South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, who is running in Tuesday’s primary.
“We’re negotiating now and they (Iran) want to make a very good deal. They’re willing to give us everything, they’re willing to promise us they won’t have any nuclear weapons,” Trump said.
The US President also said, ‘I think we are winning this fight. But you are really going to win in the next two weeks, when we declare the final victory. It will be a complete or final victory, it will happen very soon. And then the price of oil will plummet.’
However, this is not the first time Trump has promised significant progress within “two weeks.” The ceasefire with Iran, which was announced on April 8, was initially supposed to last two weeks. During that time, the two sides were supposed to finalize an agreement to end the war.

Israel could lose US support if it attacks Iran: Trump tells Netanyahu
Donald Trump warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that if Israel attacks Iran again, Tel Aviv could lose US support.
According to a report by US media outlet Axios, Trump said, “I said, Bibi (Netanyahu), you have to be more careful; otherwise, very soon, you will be on your own (without US support).”
The tensions began last Sunday when Israel attacked the Lebanese capital Beirut. In response, Iran fired missiles at Israel.
Trump urged Netanyahu in a phone call Sunday night not to take retaliatory action against Iran. However, Israel ignored Trump’s call and attacked several targets in Iran on Monday.
“(Iran) called us and said they were not going to attack anymore. They told us to tell Israel not to attack anymore,” Trump told Axios.
“Bibi had no opportunity to interpret what the president told her (Netanyahu) as her consent. She was made clear that the president did not support it, but that he would do whatever he wanted to do,” a US official told Axios.
The official added, “Bibi needs to continue this war to survive politically in Israel. And Trump needs to stop this war to survive politically in the United States.”

US does not want diplomatic solution with Iran: Ghalibaf
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the speaker of Iran’s parliament and the country’s chief negotiator in talks with the United States, said the United States is neither seeking a ceasefire nor dialogue. He said Iran should give a final response to protect the rights of its people.
“We do not want to move forward based solely on promises or slogans; rather, we must seek a strategic victory with Iranian authority and rationality,” Ghalibaf said.
“The military sphere, the diplomatic sphere, the sphere of public participation and the sphere of public service—they are like threads and fibers of the same cloth. If we consider diplomacy as just closed-door dialogue and diplomatic laughter, we will fail from the beginning,” said Iran’s chief negotiator.
Ghalibaf added, “Our goal is to end the war and achieve stable security. We have no confidence in the opposition. We will turn the naval blockade into another failure for the enemy.”

IRGC explains reason for attack on Israel

Ibrahim ZolfaqariImage: Taken from video
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the attack on Israel was a warning of a more comprehensive response. If the aggression is repeated, Iran will respond more comprehensively against Israel and its supporters in the region.
In a statement broadcast on Iranian state television, IRGC spokesman Ebrahim Zolfaqari said the Israeli army must stop its attacks on southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Ibrahim Zolfaqari said, “The Zionist aggressive regime (Israel) is repeatedly violating the ceasefire and is increasing its atrocities against the oppressed people of Lebanon with the green light of the criminal United States. The Zionist army must stop its attacks on southern Lebanon and the suburbs of Beirut. If they expand their attacks in that region or respond to Iran’s actions, they will face even more severe and regrettable blows. Then a devastating attack will begin against the regime and its supporters.”
