Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had launched a drone attack targeting the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain in response to US attacks in the country’s south, Iranian state media reported.
The IRGC also claimed to have attacked an air base in Jordan known to house US forces.
In a statement, the IRGC said the conflict between the two sides was still ongoing, warning that it would respond more harshly if the US military aggression continued.
The IRGC also said that the US carried out attacks on several locations in the southern Iranian province of Jask, Sirik and Qeshm islands. The attacks damaged a telecommunications tower and destroyed two water tanks in the Bemani district of Sirik.
The IRGC also claimed to have launched long-range missile attacks on an air base in Jordan that houses US military personnel.
The IRGC statement said the missiles it fired hit and destroyed four key installations at the airbase, including a hangar for F-35 fighter jets and a main command and control center.Read more

The IRGC described the missile strike as a major step in a larger retaliatory operation that it said had struck 21 US air and naval targets across the Middle East, as well as downing a US MQ-9 drone in Iranian airspace.
Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army said that the country’s air defense system is active and is being used to repel (missiles, drones, etc.).
In a post on social media, the Kuwaiti army called on residents to follow safety instructions and precautionary advice issued by authorities, and urged them to only obtain information from official sources.
