When the child was born, the father was abroad. Before birth, the parents divorced. The child grew up in his uncle’s house without seeing his father. After growing up, he learned that his father had returned from abroad and remarried. He is in the country. The son decided to confront his father. He wants recognition. But the father is reluctant to accept him as his son. At one point, the son applied to the Chittagong office of the national legal aid organization Legal Aid for recognition of his father. On Tuesday, the son received that recognition from his father. His father held him in his arms for the first time after 27 years of his birth.
It is learned that the DNA test of the mother, father and son was conducted on the court’s orders. It was confirmed there that the son’s claim was correct. The hospital authorities sent the DNA report to the Legal Aid office. On Tuesday, the father recognized the son as his son. Along with this, the father also made a written promise to inherit the property, give two lakh taka to build a house, and introduce the son to his relatives including his neighbors.

Legal Aid Chittagong Office Legal Aid Officer (Senior Assistant Judge) Subrata Das told Prothom Alo that the father has recognized his son. The two hugged each other. Legal Aid Chittagong presented T-shirts to both of them as a token of their support in resolving their long-standing dispute.

Chittagong District Legal Aid Officer Ershadul Islam told Prothom Alo that the scene of the father and son’s reunion created an emotional atmosphere in the Legal Aid office.
The son is happy to be recognized 27 years after his birth. He told Prothom Alo, “I couldn’t introduce my father for so many years. People would say different things. Now that my father has accepted me as his son, I don’t have to listen to anyone’s harsh words in society anymore. This is a great joy.”
