US President Donald Trump said he would never apologize for attacking Iran. He made the remarks at an event in New York on Friday local time. He described the financial losses suffered by US citizens due to the Iran war as insignificant.
At the time, Trump urged American citizens to accept higher oil prices in order to prevent Iran from pursuing a nuclear program.
Trump said, “Americans are paying a little more for their gasoline. But they should remember that this price is being paid to ensure that a ‘very evil country’ does not get nuclear weapons.”
Trump said, “What we’re doing is a great thing, not just for ourselves, but for the world… and we’re doing a really great thing.” He added that he would never apologize for attacking Iran.
