Rumors of the wedding had been going on for a few days. Finally, Ronaldo and Georgina confirmed the news of their marriage on social media. In a picture, Ronaldo’s hand is seen on Georgina’s hand, and the wedding rings are on both of their ring fingers. Ronaldo wrote the symbol of love, ‘C’ and ‘G’, along with the picture.
Georgina announced their engagement on August 11 last year. Exactly one year later, that relationship took on a new identity. After almost a decade of dating, they are now legally husband and wife.
Ronaldo and Georgina met in Madrid in 2016. At that time, Georgina was working as a saleswoman in a Gucci showroom. That’s where they met, then fell in love. They were seen together in public for the first time in early 2017. Ronaldo made the relationship public on social media the same year.
The pair are now a star couple known worldwide beyond football. Their combined social media following is over 750 million. They also have investments in various sectors including fashion and business.
Their family story is no less. Ronaldo’s eldest son, Cristiano Jr., was born in 2010. Later, in 2017, Ronaldo became the father of twins Eva Maria and Mateo through surrogacy.
