Global oil prices rose for the fourth consecutive day on Tuesday as concerns over energy supplies grew as prospects for peace between the United States and Iran faded.
At 00:04 GMT on Wednesday, the price of Brent crude in the international market rose by 26 cents, or 0.29 percent, to $91.28 per barrel.
On the other hand, the price of US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil rose 37 cents to trade at $85.31 per barrel.
Both crude oil prices hit their highest levels since July 24 at the close of trading on Tuesday. The market is worried about oil supplies as the prospects for peace talks between the United States and Iran fade. Investors are closely monitoring the situation, especially amid conflicting statements by Washington and Tehran over shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
