Former Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni has been released on parole from Munshiganj District Jail and sent to Dhaka. The matter has been confirmed by Jail Superintendent of Munshiganj District Jail Md. Jannat-ul Farhad.
He said that Dr. Dipu Moni’s daughter Tani Deepaboli Newaz applied to the Gataka District Commissioner for his parole. In view of the application, Dr. Dipu Moni was released on parole for 12 hours. The time of his parole has been fixed from 6 am to 6 pm.
The jail superintendent also said that the former minister was sent to Dhaka from Munshiganj District Jail under tight security under police guard at 6:15 am on Thursday as per prison rules. He is scheduled to be brought back to the prison after the scheduled time.
