Areas along the Nepal-Tibet border are now almost completely covered in mud, water and debris. A UN spokesman said thousands of families in the country are in need of food and clean water.
Meanwhile, China has confirmed the death of seven people in Tibet.
Several countries, including the European Union, Canada, and the United States, have announced plans to send relief supplies and financial assistance to Nepal.
