The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has once again adjusted the price of gold in the country’s market due to the increase in the price of acid gold. According to the new decision, the price of gold has been increased by Tk 1,108 per bhori. As a result, the price of a 22-carat bhori gold, including VAT, stands at Tk 2,35,146.
Bajus announced the new rates in a notification on Tuesday morning (August 11). The revised prices came into effect from 10 am on the same day.
Bajus said that the price of pure gold in the local market has increased. In view of this, the new price of gold has been determined considering the overall market situation.
According to the new rate, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) including VAT is Tk 2,35,146. Earlier, on August 8, Bajus had adjusted the price of gold. At that time, the price of 22-carat gold was set at Tk 2,34,388, increasing by Tk 4,374 per bhori.
So far this year, Bajus has adjusted gold prices in the country’s market 101 times. Of these, prices have been increased 50 times, reduced 50 times, and VAT has been adjusted once.
