6 More Children Die With Measles Symptoms in 24 Hours in Bangladesh

Six more children have died with symptoms of measles in Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, although no confirmed measles-related death was reported during this period.

The update was released on Tuesday by the Directorate General of Health Services, covering data from 8:00 AM Monday to 8:00 AM Tuesday.

According to the report, the total number of deaths with measles-like symptoms has risen to 594. Of these, 90 deaths have been confirmed as measles-related, while 504 were classified as suspected cases.

During the same 24-hour period, 42 new confirmed measles cases were recorded, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 9,136.

Health officials also reported 1,292 new suspected cases within the last day, taking the total number of suspected infections to 73,362 nationwide.
