National Citizen Party (NCP) leader and lawmaker Hasnat Abdullah has shared an emotional review of the film Bonolota Express, describing it as more than just a movie and calling it “a world filled with sorrow.”
In a Facebook post published on Monday night, Hasnat said the film portrays the complexities of human life through a collection of interconnected stories. According to him, each character represents different struggles, emotions, and realities that people experience throughout their lives.
Reflecting on the film’s themes of loss, hope, death, and new beginnings, he wrote that Bonolota Express mirrors society itself, where joy and grief coexist on the same journey. He also highlighted the film’s philosophical messages about fate, resilience, and personal transformation.
Directed by Tanim Noor and based on the novel Kichukkhon by Humayun Ahmed, Bonolota Express was released during Eid-ul-Fitr and has recently generated renewed discussion on social media following Hasnat Abdullah’s review.
