BNP holds prayer mahfil on Khaleda Zia’s birthday in Sitakunda

Upazila and municipal BNP held a prayer mahfil in Sitakunda, Chittagong to mark the birthday of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. Local BNP leaders and activists were present at the program in Fauzdarhat on Saturday morning.

The prayer mahfil was attended by former BNP Joint Secretary General Professor Mohammad Aslam Chowdhury FCA as the chief guest, Upazila BNP convener Dr. Kamal Kadar in the chair and member secretary Mohammad Morsalin in the moderatorship. Leaders and activists from various levels of BNP and its affiliated organizations participated.

Present at the event were Upazila BNP Joint Convener Salamat Ullah Salam, Municipal BNP Convener Zakir Hossain, Member Secretary Saleh Ahmed Solu, Upazila BNP Joint Member Secretary Fazlul Karim Chowdhury, Solaiman Manju, Nuruddin Mohammad Jahangir Chairman, Nurul Anwar Chairman, Kamal Uddin Chowdhury, Mostafizur Rahman Hiru, Mozaher Uddin Ashraf, K. M. Nazim Uddin, Khorshed Alam Member, Idris Mia Member, Freedom Fighter Maharam Ali, Shahidullah Bhuiyan, Solaiman Raj, Alauddin Masum, Helal Uddin Babar, Sharif Chowdhury, Sadeq, Belal and other leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations.

Special prayers were offered at the prayer meeting, seeking the eternal peace of the souls of the late Begum Khaleda Zia and martyred President Ziaur Rahman. At the same time, prayers were offered to the Almighty Allah for the continued peace, stability, prosperity and progress of the country.

The prayer seeks the health, safety, and well-being of the countrymen. It also prays for the right decisions and blessings of those concerned in working for the rights, peace, and prosperity of the country’s people.

At the event, leaders and activists recalled Khaleda Zia’s long political career and her role in the country’s democratic politics. According to them, her role was important in maintaining the leadership of BNP and keeping the party’s leaders and activists united despite political adversities.

Sitakunda BNP leaders and activists said that Khaleda Zia’s political ideals and democratic values ​​should be upheld by the people and work for their welfare, showing her due respect.

The Doa Mahfil also witnessed mutual communication and organizational activities among local BNP leaders and activists. Local leaders said they are placing importance on strengthening relations with the people and keeping party leaders and activists united.

The prayer mahfil organized at Fauzdarhat ended with a special prayer for the late Begum Khaleda Zia, martyred President Ziaur Rahman, and the peace, prosperity, and welfare of the country and the nation.
