In the eternal life of the Hereafter, only believers will be successful, whom Allah will save from Hell and admit into Paradise. Therefore, to achieve ultimate success in this life and the Hereafter, people must acquire the qualities of an ideal believer.
Various Surahs of the Quran discuss some of the qualities of believers that transform human life into a blessed one.
1. Humility and concentration in prayer
The main characteristic of a believer is that when they stand up for prayer, humility, humility and concentration awaken in their hearts. Allah Almighty says, “Successful are the believers; those who are humble and submissive in their prayers.” (Surah Al-Mu’minun, verses: 1-2)
The essence of khushoo is to realize one’s own smallness and the greatness of Allah while standing in prayer. 2. Avoidance of useless words and actions

3. Paying Zakat regularly
Believers are not only busy with their own worship, but also pay attention to society. The Quran says, “And those who are active in giving zakat.” (Surah Al-Mu’minun, verse: 4)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Charity is a proof of faith.” (Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 223)
That is, through charity and paying zakat, the faith of the servant’s heart and love for Allah are proven. Zakat purifies and blesses the wealth of a rich person.
4. Custody of genitals
To protect moral purity, Islam has strictly ordered both men and women to restrain their gaze and maintain their private parts. Believers are chaste. They keep their private parts completely free from all forms of adultery, impurity, and illicit relations except in the lawful areas of Sharia.
This protects their lineage and family ties. (Surah Al-Mu’minun, verses: 5-7)
5. Protecting deposits and promises
One of the adornments of the ideal believer is that they fulfill their trusts and promises. Allah the Almighty says, “And those who fulfill their trusts and their promises.” (Surah Al-Mu’minun, verse: 8)
Believers never betray a trust or a secret, and they never break a promise or agreement. Breaking a trust and breaking a promise are clear signs of hypocrisy. (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 33)
6. Thrifty and balanced lifestyle
Just as they are not stingy in providing for the needs of their family and livelihood, they do not waste a single penny on worldliness, arrogance, or any useless activity. Rather, they always adopt a moderate approach.

Why self-criticism is important in the life of a believer
7. Last night’s prayer
The believers do not spend the whole night in a state of sleep. In the last hours of the night, they stand before Allah. The Quran says, “They spend the night before their Lord, prostrating themselves and standing.” (Surah Furqan, verse: 64)
This solitary worship is most effective for human self-purification.
8. Maintaining humility in life
Believers do not walk around the earth arrogantly, boastfully, or creating chaos. They move about in society with a natural, unworldly modesty, and if a foolish person tries to engage in an argument with them, they tactfully avoid it by saying “Peace.”
Allah says about them, “And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk on the earth humbly…” (Surah Furqan, verse: 63)
9. Avoiding false testimony and gatherings for sin
Believers never support any lie, deception, fraud or wrongdoing. And this is one of the qualities of a believer. Allah says, “And those who do not bear false witness…” (Surah Furqan, verse: 72)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) has declared false testimony and lying as sins. No believer can knowingly take a stand for injustice. Therefore, believers avoid gatherings where disobedience to Allah and sin are committed.
10. Concern for the welfare of future generations
Believers are concerned about the welfare of their descendants, so that they may be established in the religion. They pray to Allah, saying, “Our Lord, grant us wives and children who will be the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders of the righteous.” (Surah Furqan, verse 74)
They want to leave behind righteous children who will pray for their forgiveness even after death (Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1631).
